Aquatemp Tifel™ Coated Heater Element
The Tifel™ protective coating on the Aquatemp element is the product of years of development. Tifel™ is a specially formulated high temperature nonporous coating that is applied and then baked onto the element sheath and bulkheads at over 1800° F. With powdered Titanium as part of the Tifel™ coating, this exclusive formulation possesses properties that allow the element to dissipate the heat generated from within, while at the same time protecting the sheath from both corrosion and calcification. Even straight hydrochloric acid cannot penetrate this coating. In addition, calcification is slower to form on the element sheath due to the protection of the element sheath that is provided by the nonporous surface and the lubricating properties of the Tifel™ coating.
